Ajay has successfully completed his final thesis defense (Date: May 15th, 2008).

Dinesh has successfully finished his Ph D general exam (Date: May 15th, 2008).

Dr. Devireddy has accepted an invitation to join the Editorial Board of Cryobiology - International Journal of Low Temperature Biology and Medicine (2008 - present).

Dr. Devireddy has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in the department of Mechanical Engineering from Fall 2007.

Sreedhar has been selected for the 'Dissertation Fellowship, year 2007-2008', starting from Summer 2007.

Dr. Devireddy received the "Tiger Athletic Foundation Undergraduate Teaching Award" at the 'LSU Distinguished Faculty Awards Reception' held on Tuesday, May 8, 2007.

Sreedhar was the recipient of 'outstanding research assistant' award at Graduate Student Conference (GSC-2007), Dept of Mechanical Engineering (Date: April 24th, 2007).

Dr. Devireddy has accepted an invitation to join the editorial board of a new journal, “The Open Biotechnology Journal (OB),” from Bentham Science Publishers. The OB, a peer-reviewed open access journal, aims to publish original research papers in all core areas of biotechnology including basic and applied research: molecular engineering of nucleic acids and proteins, molecular therapy, imaging technology and large-scale biology, regenerative medicine, analytical biotechnology, food and agricultural biotechnology and environmental biotechnology. The journal also aims to provide the most complete and reliable source of information on current developments in the biotechnology.

Dr. Devireddy is the invited speaker at the Department of Mechanical Engineering,  University of California, Riverside. Date: May 12th, 2006 (Seminar Title: Rational Design of Ovarian Tissue Freezing).
