| The Turbine
Heat Transfer Lab houses several state-of-the art facilities
for heat transfer measurements of turbine components. A high
temperature, high pressure combustion facility for hot engine
condition measurements, ambient temperature, high speed flow
four blade cascade, transient liquid crystal imaging system
for detailed heat transfer measurements, a 32-point digital
pressure measurement system are some of the available facilities.
Several experimental rigs for internal heat transfer and film
cooling measurements have also been established. |
