SURFACE
MODIFICATION AND MATERIALS SYNTHESIS LABORATORY
This laboratory
houses a dual deposition/plasma processing system capable of
plasma and ion beam assisted deposition and processing (e.g.,
nitriding) for the development of thin film coatings and composite
surface layers. A separate thin-film deposition system is also
available.
